Finding Information On Authors

Gale Literary Databases are a great place to start looking for an overview of your author.  San Juan College Library subscribes to Dictionary of Literary Biography, Contemporary Authors, and Contemporary Literary Criticism Select.  For poets we have Columbia Granger’s Index to Poetry for finding information about authors and where to go to for their poems.

In addition to these two databases, there are a number of Author Links for finding out about authors and getting bibliographies.

Books

It will probably be a good idea to check out some books as well (since, at this point, that's what most of the authors you will be studying wrote).
